Package optimised for machine tool design
Samtech has released the first industrial version of Samcef for Machine Tools, its professional solution for the design, analysis and optimisation of machine tools.
The conference is located in the famous Palais des Congres, situated on the banks of the river Meuse in Liege.
During the two days of the conference, senior engineering managers and their technical staff will present case studies demonstrating how Samtech advanced software technologies can improve industrial product development processes.
The event also represents the perfect environment in which participants can exchange best practices in a wide range of engineering domains, including composite structures analysis, stress analysis, fracture mechanics, post-buckling, rigid or flexible mechanisms analysis, inflatable structures analysis, thermal analysis, ablation, multi-disciplinary optimisation, multi-physics and CAD/CAE integration.

Participants will be welcomed by Eric Carnoy, Samtech CEO, to Liege, the city where the finite element culture was born in the early sixties, to attend the event that forms a fitting finale to the festivities celebrating the 20th anniversary of Samtech.
"We are delighted to welcome Airbus and Astrium Space Transportation at this occasion for our introduction lectures", said Eric Carnoy.
"They will give attendees an exclusive strategic view on the virtual prototyping technologies used in the aeronautical, space and defence industries now, and in the future".
"This year's conference promises to be especially interesting, with more than 35 technical presentations showcasing applications from industrial sectors as varied as aeronautics, space, automotive, electrical engineering, machine tools, manufacturing".
"We will welcome speakers from universities and research centres collaborating with Samtech as well as scientists representing a broad range of well known companies including Airbus, ABB, Aermacchi, Alenia Aeronautica, Astrium, Avio, EADS-CCR, ESA, Eurocopter, General Electric, PSA, Renault, Sabca, Sagem, Schaeffler, Snecma and Sonaca".
There will be ample opportunities for attendees to meet Samtech technical staff during the break sessions for demonstrations of new functionalities presented during the conference and to discuss ideas for future versions of Samtech software.
New professional solutions will be presented in rotor dynamics, for the design of power lines and substations and for the optimisation of automotive pipes positioning.
All the sessions will be simultaneously translated in English and French.
