Slides gain anti-creep roller cages
Type NK and NKL precision linear motion slides are now available with a novel centring mechanism that eliminates cage creep.
Schneeberger has added the Formula-S cage assist solution to its line of frictionless tables (slides) This cage centring mechanism eliminates cage creep and is now available with the Type NK and NKL precision linear motion slides

Top quality options for cross-roller bearings
Schneeberger has added two new quality options to its cross-roller precision linear bearings.
Steel rollers retained in a plastic cage roll in between precision ground surfaces of linear guide rails to provide ultra smooth linear positioning.
Creep of the cross-roller cage gradually occurs in cross roller type bearings that are subject to high accelerations, especially in vertical orientations with oscillatory motion.
Once a cage migrates out of position, the result is reduction of travel and eventual damage as it repeatedly contacts the end piece and skids back.
Based on a rugged rack and pinion design, the Schneeberger Formula-S is the first production proven cage assist solution to eliminate cage creep in linear motion applications with accelerations up to 15g.
This economical device, using the new KBS cross roller cage with built in pinion, is compatible with Schneeberger type RN and RNG series linear bearings.
Grooves are machined along the face and top of each side of the bearing rail, to accept a rack.
Schneeberger slides type NK and NKL offer exceptional quality and reliability through use of Schneeberger cross roller bearings.
The NK, single axis model available in steel or cast-iron, comes in five sizes, has lengths ranging from 25 to 510mm and strokes from 10 to 450mm.
The NKL, single axis model has a light-weight aluminium design and comes in four sizes, lengths from 25 to 410mm, and strokes from 10 to 280mm.
Applications for Schneeberger slides include optical inspection, medical and automated assembly.
