AxStream will be used to develop new steam turbines for specific industrial and power generation applications.
Bundle cuts turbo design teaching costs
Educational package provides students and faculty access to leading edge axial and radial turbomachinery design and multidisciplinary optimisation software at minimum expense.
"This program aids students in understanding the overall design and performance principles of radial turbomachinery through the same fully interactive AxStream design programs used by engineering professionals throughout the world".
"On examination, we concluded that the educational versions of AxStream offered by SoftInWay are powerful teaching tools in helping our engineering students develop from theoretical to practical, real world turbomachinery flow path design", said Dr Shin-Hyoung Kang, Professor at School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the Seoul National University.
"This teaching tool will, no doubt, help our students be better engineers when they enter the industrial world".
"AxStream v.2.0 can be used to design axial/centrifugal compressor, axial/radial turbine and multi-stage gas turbine flow path from scratch, and the educational version is being provided at a really affordable price, so professors and students can study practical designs of axial/radial compressor/turbines and utilise it in their research projects", said DrKim of EngiSol, a provider of engineering services and software, including SoftinWay's AxStream suite of design products, to Korea's turbomachinery community.
