Softinway has announced its educational activities for the second part of 2009.
Softinway has scheduled Axstream introductory seminars during which the company's team will bring in the features of Axstream, a software system for design, analysis and multidisciplinary optimisation of turbomachinery flow path.
The seminars are suitable for engineers involved in turbomachinery design and/or retrofitting and for students of technical faculties and their professors.
These seminars will be held 14 July in Bangalore (India); 16 October in Tokyo (Japan); and 19 October in Beijing (China).
Softinway is also running a five-day integrated course on axial turbine basics and turbomachinery design with Axstream.
The programme consists of two parts.
The Axial Turbine Fundamentals course (two days) describes gas dynamics, thermodynamics, structural analysis and essentials of axial turbines and their elements.
The second part - Axstream Interactive Workshop on Turbomachinery Design and Optimisation (three days) - focuses on practical aspects of design, optimisation and retrofitting of axial/radial/mixed-flow turbomachinery.
After the workshop, the participants will be granted a free one-month licence for Axstream.
The five-day intensive course on turbomachinery will take place 21-25 September in Dusseldorf (Germany); 2-6 October in Bangkok (Thailand); and 9-13 November in Boston (US), at which event Axstream 3.0 will be presented.
Softinway is also offering free monthly webinars to make its educational programmes more accessible to engineers all over the world.
The next webinar on multidisciplinary optimisation of turbomachinery flow path using design of experiment and low discrepancy sequences methods will be held 23 July at 10am and 4pm EST.
