Softinway announces Tusas Axstream contract

A Softinway product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Sep 22, 2009

Softinway has announced a contract with Tusas Engine Industry to use the Axstream software suite for turbomachinery flow-path design, analysis and multidisciplinary optimisation.

TEI has selected Axstream to take advantage of engineering technology while designing aircraft engines.

To develop an optimised flow path for aircraft engines with respect to geometric constraints, an advanced software solution is needed.

Axstream allows conceptual design of the complete flow path.

The Axstream software suite embraces the full process of turbomachinery flow-path design, including preliminary design, inverse and direct 1D/2D analysis and optimisation, 3D profiling/stacking of the airfoils, 3D FEA and CFD analysis, and export of the results to 3D CAD/CFD/FEA programs.

According to the contract, TEI will use Axstream for axial compressors and turbines.
