Assembly on the new Hyponic gearbox is now at full pace following a pilot scheme implemented last December.
This was backed by a special consultation visit from SHI head office Hyponic advisor, Koji Shibata.
A more compact and lighter weight unit than conventional worm gear products, Hyponic's integral gearing retains the advantages of both bevels and worms by the use of an offset pinion and gear shaft arrangement.
An efficiency level between 85% and 90% is maintained throughout all ratios producing a high quality, high performance drive perfect for the rigours of continuous high capacity use at any size up to 5.5kW.
Proven in Asia and America, where it commands a high share of its market, grease lubrication guarantees maintenance free operation, and with low noise a fundamental attribute in its operation, the product lends itself well to a range of conveyor applications.
The move will speed up delivery in Europe and allow instant back up to a growing distribution network throughout the continent.
