Mike takes over from Fuminori Miyoshi, who returns to his native Japan to take up a senior position in Tokyo after seven successful years in Europe and six years previously with their American sister company in Chesapeake, Virginia.
During his seven-year tenure, 'Frank', as he is popularly known, was instrumental in re-positioning the Cyclo gearbox as a mainstream product in the European power transmission market and presided over significant market share growth throughout the past five years.
The unique Cyclo gear system had previously confined its success to niche applications such as machine tools, robotics, automation and heavy duty applications.
Mike originally joined the company in April, 1998 as Sales and Marketing Director, moving from UK competitor, David Brown Radicon.
The announcement was officially made to employees at the European headquarters in Hull during a special presentation where a gift of a crystal pen set was handed over to Mr Miyoshi in recognition of his efforts during his time spent in Europe.
