The IWEX exhibition presented Sumitomo with the unique opportunity to show the Drive 6000, which has improved torque ratings of 10%, is more compact, efficient and has reduced noise levels

Power Transmission specialist Sumitomo Cyclo Europe received a tidal wave of response at the IWEX exhibition NEC, Birmingham, during 30th October - 1st November.

This specialist industry exhibition for International Water and Effluent Treatment presented Sumitomo with the unique opportunity to focus in on the water industry.

Its stand, the theme of which was solely based around specialist application solutions tailor made for this key industry sector, provided an ideal opportunity to present a specific selection from its product portfolio, which have been developed based on customer feedback and industry requirements.

This included their new generation Drive 6000, first launched into the European market in April this year, the Drive 6000 has improved torque ratings of 10%, is more compact, efficient and has reduced noise levels.

The Paramax 9000, with greater options, a torque capacity increase of up to 25% and available in a range of 24 sizes, and the Helical and Bevel Buddybox, which have overall efficiency levels of 95% even at reduction ratios up to 600,000:1.

The Drive 6000 Cyclo and Buddybox models where specially integrated into applications including Aerators and and Dual-Mixer drives.

Sumitomo products also presented a 'greener' solution for applications with their environmentally efficient motors, available to EFF1 and EFF2.

Sumitomo's UK Sales Manager, Allan Findlow was impressed with the response: "We purposely used this exhibition to focus in on the industry requirements and illustrated how our products could be seen in a multitude of water industry environments.

We had an incredible response to our stand presentation, the models we featured where specifically on display due to the kind of industry specific solutions they provide.

In return for this tailor made approach to the exhibition, Sumitomo received a mass of enquiries amounting to their most successful showing in England, with high quality sales leads, and record levels of interest generated.

Also featured on stand where Sumitomo's Water Industry Focus brochures which detail actual application solutions and scenarios, in addition to overviewing the water treatment process.
