Fast response from thermistors
New fast-response, miniature thermistors from Betatherm feature platinum leads and glass encapsulation making them ideal for highly humid and other severe environments.
New fast-response, miniature thermistors from Betatherm feature platinum leads and glass encapsulation making them ideal for highly humid and other severe environments.
Designed for use at temperatures between -50 and +250C the new Betatherm miniature axial (GA) and radial (GR) thermistors have a minimum packaged thermistor size of just 0.4mm, and hence a fast time response of less than 0.2s (in liquids).
They are ideal for use in airflow detection, blood analysis, liquid level sensing, platen temperature sensing and other tough environments, where both high performance and robust environmental protection are required.
The NTC chip is welded to a platinum lead, and then encapsulated in a glass coating.
Available in a wide range of resistance values, typical resistance tolerances of +/-5% at 25C, and a specified dissipation constant of 0.15MW/C at 25C these devices are easily packaged into various mechanical probe configurations.
The new additions are part of a full range of glass encapsulated thermistor devices from Betatherm, with external diameters ranging from 0.4 to 2.5mm, and rated for temperatures in the range -50 to +300C.
