One-piece pressure sensor stands the heat
Sequoia is to offer a new generation of compact, high level output, 0-5V DC pressure transducers, with built-in electronics and an operating temperature up to 120C.
Direct measurement keeps heat loss under control
New heat control monitors that measure the rate of heating or cooling in buildings directly can save significantly on energy costs as well as providing improved control.
Easily attached to a cool or normal room wall with double-sided adhesive tape, the Sequoia Temperature Monitor uses an internal radio transmitter to send an alarm signal with a range of 600ft should temperature rise above and/or drop below a preset level.
The Sequoia monitor is ultrasmall, with external dimensions of only 1.3 x 2.1 x 0.6in, and uses the 433MHz frequency band that is licence-free in Europe.
A unique ID is transmitted to eliminate false or spurious transmissions or interference.
Powered by battery, the units feature an exceptional battery life of two to five years, achieved by keeping the number and length of data transmissions down to an absolute minimum.
The enclosure is a robust, ABS construction, and the internal electronics has been sealed against moisture, allowing use in damp conditions.
Sequoia is offering a number of alternative receivers compatible with the Temperature Monitor, including a unit that can be connected directly to the RS232 serial port of any PC, and simply decodes and outputs incoming data stream.
A repeater unit, and even a receiver for use with a Palm PDA, are also available from Sequoia.
