Workshop is a must for design for six sigma

A Stat-Ease product story

Training course helps quality professionals create ideal products and processes that are robust to varying conditions and meet all specifications.

A new workshop on "DOE for DFSS: variation by design (DDFSS)" helps quality professionals create ideal products and processes that are robust to varying conditions and meet all specifications.

This two-day computer-intensive class is a must for design for six sigma (DFSS).

Students learn how to make improved design decisions that lead to defect-free products.

By using design of experiments (DOE) and tolerance analysis techniques, they discover how to minimise expensive design rework and accelerate product scale-up and commercialisation.

In the DDFSS workshop, students master the construction of statistically designed experiments that reveal settings which are robust to noise.

They learn how to produce transfer functions (mathematical models) that are used with capability analysis to determine the best tolerances for the product design.

Students discover how to pinpoint system parameters to achieve optimal values with minimal variation.

This workshop is aimed at those who already have a working knowledge of factorial design and response surface methods black belts in Six Sigma.

Stat-Ease recommends its own "Experiment design made easy" and "Response surface methods for process optimisation" workshops, or their equivalent, as prerequisites.

Free trials of Design-Expert software for DOE and VarTran software for tolerance analysis (by Taylor Enterprises) are provided in class.

DOE for DFSS is presented by expert trainers at the Stat-Ease training facility in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The US $995 fee covers the workshop and all course materials, as well as lunch and refreshments (provided on-site).

Stat-Ease also offers this workshop privately; an excellent opportunity for companies who wish to train six or more students in-house.
