He is currently a Consulting Director with Acrol Holdings, a PVC chemicals company he cofounded in 1980 and sold in 1999 to US chemical company PolyOne Corp.
At sale, Acrol Holdings had a turnover of approximately GBP 15 million and 85 employees.
Before founding Acrol, Holland was a Director of Longfield Chemicals for two years, during which time he was responsible for setting up the PVC compounding manufacturing arm of the business.
He has also worked for Ciba Geigy and Foscolor, a division of multinational company Foseco-Minsep.
Holland is also currently a director of Bladeace.

He is a technology-based entrepreneur with very relevant commercial contacts and has proven expertise in managing a successful chemical formulations business.
His input will be vital as Surface Transforms expands from its base as a chemical technology enterprise to a commercial business providing carbon ceramic solutions to automotive and aerospace clients.
