The launch of the new organisation marks Southco's continued expansion into the marine industry, following last summer's acquisition of Swedish marine locks and latches manufacturer, Mobella.
The new organisation will combine the two leading brands of high quality marine hardware - the Mobella brand of marine locks, latches and accessory hardware with the innovative marine hardware solutions of Southco.
The new organisation is part of Southco's ongoing commitment and support for designers in the marine industry, where existing customers include Beneteau, Dufour, Sunseeker and Princess Yachts.
"The charter of Southco Marine is to work in close collaboration with boat builders around the world to help them develop innovative products that differentiate their boats by enhancing those key user touch points", says Brian McNeill, President and CEO of Southco.

McNeill noted that Southco Marine's "bow-to-stern" access hardware portfolio creates real value for marine customers.
He says Southco Marine will be an industry partner that is capable of providing product innovation backed with excellence in operations and global customer support, with the convenience of a single source of supply to boat builders.
A large number of global marine customers are already familiar with the innovative access hardware offerings in the Southco Marine portfolio.
Major OEM boat builders such as Sea Ray, Dufour, Beneteau and Viking are featuring access hardware from Southco Marine.
In addition, the company has a significant presence with door and hatch fabricators and is growing in the after market channels.
