A new series of compact surface-mounted draw latches provides an attractive high-strength design for applications where a sleek look is desired without having to sacrifice performance.
A new series of compact surface-mounted draw latches from Southco provides an attractive high-strength design, with optional locking feature, for applications where a sleek look is desired without having to sacrifice space, reliability or robust performance.
These fixed-grip Over-Centre Cast Series draw latches position panels accurately.
Operating the latch automatically aligns the panels and draws them together on the same plane.
This Southco style also features an over-centre latching mechanism to ensure positive latch engagement that helps prevent accidental opening under stress or vibration.
Riveted construction, without external springs, reduces opportunities for tampering.
An integral keylock option further enhances security.
The low-profile surface-mounted design - less than 22mm high - leaves no exposed hardware on the inside of the door.
This makes these latches ideal for installations where space is limited or where a smooth surface is desired on the inside of the compartment.
Made with die-cast zinc bodies and stainless steel hardware, these latches are available in three finishes - polished chrome, satin chrome and black powder coating.
They can be used to provide quick access for indoor or outdoor applications.
Potential installations include usage on telecomms pole mounts, other telecomms and electronics enclosures, industrial machinery access panels, case goods and saddle bag compartments for motorcycles.
