Sheffield based CSE-Servelec is expanding through the acquisition of ttc, an oil and gas pipeline systems supplier, based in Bratislava, Slovakia.

The CSE-Servelec Group strategy includes gaining a larger share of control systems business in the oil and gas pipeline markets.

The acquisition of ttc accelerates this strategy by providing: an operating base to support customers in Central Europe and the countries of the former Soviet Union; an expanded customer base; a knowledgeable and skilled workforce; and specialist software marketed under the Pipeman brand.

ttc employs 70 people who are based in offices in Nitra, Bratislava and Kosice, and whose experience complements CSE-Servelec's existing skills and capability.

The successful Pipeman software package is a pipeline simulation and leak detection system specifically designed for use on oil and gas pipelines.

Pipeline simulation is a growing business and CSE-Servelec will market Pipeman to new and existing customers around the world.
