SCADA monitors water company assets
UK Systems Integrator, CSE Servelec, is set to provide Phase B of the GBP2.5 million Enterprise SCADA solution, providing Severn Trent with a system that monitors and controls its operational assets
Severn Trent Water has recently awarded UK Systems Integrator, CSE Servelec, Phase B of the GBP 2.5 million Enterprise SCADA solution which is central to the Telemetry Replacement and Integration (TeRI) programme Phase A of the TeRI project, successfully completed in December 2006, covered the development and production of the system design specification confirming that the solution meets Severn Trent's operational and business requirements

The Phase B implementation will provide Severn Trent with a system that monitors and controls its operational assets, providing sophisticated active alarm management with intelligent dispatch along with full configuration management aligned with existing asset information systems integrated into a single solution.
eSCADA also provides full integration into existing STW systems providing the ability to distribute information to other business applications, giving Severn Trent the platform to achieve the goal of being a telemetry enabled business.
CSE Servelec's solution is based on its well established Telemetry and SCADA suite of software, Scope-x and Xtraview3 user interface, implementing a region-wide, resilient real-time database seamlessly united to an Oracle long-term historic database.
The Scope-X system incorporates a sophisticated real-time alarm management engine which forms an integral part of the eSCADA system and provides specific alarm tracking, integrated to existing work management systems enabling improved asset management.
CSE Servelec's Business Solutions project team will handle all phases of the system implementation, commissioning and business integration support to deliver a high availability, fully resilient, integrated eSCADA system.
