Display plugs in for pressure readout
A novel loop-powered display simply plugs-in between the DIN plug and socket of a pressure transmitter to provide a local indication of the pressure reading.
The sensing technology that the MTM/N10 uses is semiconductor strain gauge, basically a silicon chip which enables the depth sensor to be miniaturised and still provide a high level of sensitivity due to their high gauge factor.
The depth ranges that can be chosen for the MTM/N10 start from 10m H2O and end with the deepest range of 100m H2O which covers the majority of borehole depths.
The construction of the level transducer is all stainless steel 316L and the cable exit is IP68 to 250m water gauge.
The cable has a polyurethane (PUR) jacket which suits most applications but polyethylene (PE) is also available.
The other benefit of using ion implanted silicon strain gauges is their excellent nonlinearity, hysteresis and repeatability which makes it the ideal technology for scientific measurements which require high precision.
An accuracy as good as +/-0.1% full scale can be specified for the MTM/N10 miniature depth probe if used in conjunction with the remote amplifier electronics.
To accommodate most electrical installations the MTM/N10 can be configured to have a millivolt, amplified voltage or current loop output signal, it even has a data logging option providing up to 500,000 readings with a minimum interval setting of 0.5s.
The MTM/N10 miniature size not only eases installation into small diameter boreholes but also larger boreholes where other equipment is being placed down the hole as well.
So if your borehole installation is looking a bit cramped the MTM/N10 10mm diameter will certainly help you to free up some space and still provide a high degree of precision for your level measurements.
