Scaling improves barometric measurement
The TSA barometric pressure transmitter has a signal conditioned output scaled from 0.8 to 1.2bar absolute for atmospheric pressure readings.
To improve measurement performance of an atmospheric reading you can use a pressure transmitter which has the 4-20mA signal output specially scaled from 800 to 1200mbar absolute Typically a pressure transmitter is calibrated at five points over its range to ensure it is inside specification

Display plugs in for pressure readout
A novel loop-powered display simply plugs-in between the DIN plug and socket of a pressure transmitter to provide a local indication of the pressure reading.
If a 1 or 1.5bar absolute range is used to measure the barometric pressure you will only be using the pressure sensor over a narrow part of its range and most likely only one or two of the calibration points, possibly none, will be inside the operating range.
By scaling the current loop output or amplified voltage output of the absolute pressure transducer to the barometric pressure range each of the five calibration points will be inside the region of measurement thus providing more verification of the pressure sensors performance.
The effective increase in signal output over the atmospheric pressure range also allows you to make the most use of the bit resolution available from your measurement instrument.
The TSA barometric pressure transmitter, which is designed for use in the industrial sector, has a signal conditioned output scaled from 0.8 to 1.2bar absolute for atmospheric pressure readings.
The typical measurement accuracy from the silicon strain gauge sensing element is 0.15% full scale best straight line definition which includes nonlinearity, hysteresis and repeatability.
There is an analogue output signal for the majority of applications including 4-20mA, 0-5V or 0-10V plus an array of pressure connections in various British Standard pipe, metric, national pipe threads and unified fine thread forms.
For industrial and process applications requiring a barometric reading the TSA absolute pressure transducer has a robust 304 stainless steel body construction to protect the sensor from most factory and plant environments.
A choice of electrical connectors can be specified including DIN43650, Amphenol military style, M12 connector, integral cable and Binder 7-pin.
