Swagelok Company now offers two new lines of instrumentation tubing: insulated tubing and jacketed tubing New Swagelok insulated tubing, a cost-effective alternative to field-installed insulation of small diameter process lines, reduces heat loss and helps protect personnel from hot process and steam lines

Surrounded by a fibrous glass, absorption-resistant insulation and a thermoplastic jacket, the tubing can be used in steam supply, condensate return, gas and liquid transport lines, or other applications in which weatherproofing and energy conservation are important.

New Swagelok jacketed tubing offers corrosion and mechanical protection in pneumatic, hydraulic, and other applications where insulation is not required.

Swagelok's new tubing lines are used in a variety of piping, instrumentation, and steam applications in the oil and gas, hydrocarbon and chemical processing, and power generation industries.

Both Swagelok insulated tubing and jacketed tubing feature a thermoplastic, UV-resistant PVC jacket (rather than a standard PVC jacket) that provides increased protection against galvanic and atmospheric corrosion.

This durable coating also helps protect the tube against wear and abrasion.

Available in sizes from 6 to 12mm and 0.25 to 0.5in in 316/316L stainless steel and copper, Swagelok insulated tubing and jacketed tubing meet the following material standards: ASTM A213, A269 - Fractional size 316/316L stainless steel, welded or seamless; DIN17458 - metric size 316/316L stainless steel; and ASTM B68, B75 - fractional and metric size copper.
