Pressure regulators for accuracy and consistency

A Swagelok product story

Three new families of pressure regulators offer a choice of pressure-reducing, back-pressure and vaporising types.

Swagelok's new regulators are used in a variety of applications such as sample conditioning systems, gas and liquid analysis systems, calibration and carrier gas cylinders and delivery systems, instrument air and speciality gas pressure control by primarily the chemical, petrochemical, oil and gas and power industries.

Swagelok's ten new models of pressure-reducing regulators provide accurate, consistent delivery pressures to processes and equipment to reduce the likelihood of process variability and to protect sensitive equipment.

The new range of back-pressure regulators includes five new models.

They provide consistent back-pressure control in a variety of analytical and process instrumentation applications.

Both pressure-reducing and back-pressure regulators are available in a variety of piston-type and diaphragm-type designs and all models feature a captured inlet gauze-type filter and fine pitch stem threads for precise control.

Swagelok piston-type pressure regulators are commonly used in analyser zero/span gas control, sample handling systems, manufacturing processes, laboratories, and other systems.

Low internal volume allows rapid purging and limits the amount of surface area exposed to contamination.

The design mechanically restricts the piston when the regulator is exposed to excess pressure.

Swagelok diaphragm-type pressure regulators feature an alloy X-750 diaphragm and a leak-tight, metal-to-metal diaphragm seal.

This mechanically robust design also helps maintain purity of the process media.

Diaphragm-type pressure regulators are used in analyser zero/span gas control, sampling systems, pilot plants, hydraulic and pneumatic test benches, research laboratories, and other systems.

New Swagelok vaporising pressure regulators vaporise liquid samples or preheat gas samples.

Two models featuring 316 stainless steel construction are available (material traceability is also available).

The KEV series electrically heated vaporising pressure regulator is ATEX (Cenelec) and CSA certified for critical/hazardous environments.

The regulator is used to heat incoming gas samples or vaporise liquid samples and operates with inlet pressures up to 248bar.

The KSV series steam-heated, vaporising, pressure-reducing regulator has low internal volume and vaporises liquid samples or preheats gas samples.
