Switchtec has extended its range of PCB terminals and connectors to include through-panel connectors ideal for instrumentation and power supply equipment designers.

Manufactured by Euroclamp, the innovative MPT range of through-panel connectors are easy to install and lock into place with a wedged shape, serrated retaining key, giving reliable and stable locking into panels up to 4mm thick.

Rated to 24A/450V, the MPT-275 can handle maximum cable sizes of 2.5mm2 stranded and 4mm2 solid, whereas the MPT-410, rated to 32A/450V, handles up to 4mm2 stranded and 6mm2 solid cable.

Pitch sizes are 7.5 and 10mm, respectively.

The connectors feature a robust rising clamp insuring integrity of connection at all times.

For added protection, grips are rifled into the clamps to prevent cables from inadvertently being pulled out.

Both devices can be supplied with labels for terminal numbering or pre-printed on the connectors themselves.

The MPT range is just one of the many extensions to the comprehensive Euroclamp portfolio, designed in response to customer demands for quality OEM solutions.

Increased ratings across the complete range means Switchtec can now offer more Euroclamp products rated up to 750V and from 10 to 32A.

Terminal block pitches, from 3.5 to 10.16mm, are available in both low profile and standard heights, giving even greater flexibility in design.

All Euroclamp terminal blocks are manufactured in self-extinguishing PA66 plastic to UL94 standard, allowing them to be used safely at temperatures up to 125C.

To allow for increased torque and improved electrical contact, the zinc-plated steel screws are case hardened.

The nickel-plated brass clamps ensure a secure electrical connection whilst also providing excellent resistance against corrosion for long-term reliability.
