Switchtec has made important updates to its Stridor range of sounders and beacons, bringing added functionality and versatility to the range The Stridor range of sounders has been expanded with the addition of a low profile version that has been reduced in height by 30mm, enabling its use where space is limited

With sealed construction for indoor and outdoor use the sounder is protected to IP65, and offers a high sound output of 114dB at a maximum frequency of 2.85kHz.

A low frequency version of the sounder is available, and all units in the range operate over a temperature range of -40 to +80C.

A volume control is fitted to all sounders in the range to account for the needs of different applications.

The 04 series of sounders from Switchtec has also been upgraded to provide 32 tone options instead of just two.

Tones now available embrace constant, fast pulse, warble and slow sweep.

Offering low power consumption, the 04 sounders operate from a supply of 9-28V DC.

Panel, flange and compact mountings are available, the latter fitting neatly to a standard, square electrical mounting box.

The fully sealed 04 sounders can be synchronised for multiple device operation, and all models are available in red or white housings.

Stridor Xenon beacons now feature a new lens/body construction enabling the units to be seen easily from any location within 360 degrees of its mounting plane.

An enhanced optical design ensures maximum light dissipation.

Available in various voltage ranges from 10 to 30V DC and also 230V mains, the beacons have a flash rate of 60/min, whilst a multivoltage version offers a choice of 45/60/85/120/min.

Lens colours available for the Xenon beacons are red, amber, blue, green or clear.

Featuring vandal resistant polycarbonate construction, Xenon beacons have built in terminal blocks and are weather resistant to IP65.
