Redesigned and upgraded switch disconnectors from Telergon offer higher current ratings in smaller housings.

Available from specialist distributor Switchtec, redesigned and upgraded switch disconnectors from Telergon offer higher current ratings in smaller housings The move enables users to save space and/or use more conservatively rated switches in the same space as used previously

Switches disconnectors are the obvious solution where general switching duties are required.

They are suitable for control switches in multiple circuits and for use in main circuits as "on load" switches for motors, machines, heating equipment, lighting, ventilation, air-conditioning, gensets, mains/generator changeover etc.

The whole Telergon range is manufactured according to IEC60947-3 and is fully RoHS complaint.

They will find favour with OEMs, panel builders, CEMs, equipment manufacturers, machine builders, and generator set manufacturers.

By improving the switching characteristics of the S5000 range of switch disconnectors, Telergon has been able reduce the size of its switches.

For example the 1000A S5000 switch as standard is available sized 441 x 381mm.

However, Telergon's latest equivalent switch is smaller, but still rated at 1000A and measures just 325 x 290mm that's around a 25% reduction in size.

Similar size reductions are available for the 2000, 800, 500, 400 and 250A units.

The Telergon switches are available in ratings from 40 to 6300A.

Traditionally Telergon has offered motorised kits only for its CCF changeover switches, however for versatility the company has re-engineered the motor kits, so they can also be fitted to the on/off switches.

Once again, during this re-engineering phase, Telergon was also able to reduce the size of the motor kit.

Telergon has traditionally manufactured its switches in black.

To improve the aesthetic appearance of these latest generation switch disconnectors, Telergon is now manufacturing its S5000, CCF and M11/M21 series in RAL7035 grey.

The lighter colour also makes it easier to inspect and work on connections in low light situations in the corners of host equipments.

A wide range of accessories and options are available from IP rated enclosures to pad lockable handles, key locked handles, Din rail mount switches, door interlock handles, etc.

Recognised approval bodies such as Kema Keur, CE, Bureau Veritas, and Lloyds Register approve the Telergon switches.

Switchtec carries a wide range of Telergon switch disconnectors and is able to ship anywhere in the UK within 24 hours.
