The ProLocator Fire Sniffer is described by SAFE Fire Detection as the industry's first handheld portable air sampling detector Belonging to the ProSeries family, the Fire Sniffer uses new CCD (cloud chamber detection) technology to provide Very Early Warning Fire Detection (VEWFD), which can help to identify a potential fire source and take the user to within one foot (around 300mm) of an invisible and odorless fire
The Fire Sniffer features adjustable sensitivity levels that can guide the user in the right direction.
Because it uses CCD, the user does not have to worry about the Fire Sniffer giving false information; it is immune to dust, dirt, heat, cold, humidity and other factors that could prevent it from leading the user in the right location.
