SIG Pack Systems has a range of machinery and systems which produce a new type of resealable packaging that is ideal for foods and non-food items that need to be kept fresh after the initial opening.
TopLoaders are a breath of fresh air
Johnson Wax UK sought a packaging solution to replace one of its existing robot cells to meet two major goals.
The new generation system is suitable for all piece goods, for both food and non-foods, packed individually or in groups.
This is the first exhibit of the new modular, seamless system with one control platform: ControlLogix from Rockwell Automation.
The new system produces perfect packages and cartons at high speeds in round-the-clock operation and enables rapid changeover times for new product sizes and shapes.
For the primary packaging, SIG Pack Systems will demonstrate its new SIGHSM flow-wrapping machine.
Loose or close fitting pillow packs can be produced, with the highest speeds running up to 1500 packages/min.
The latest secondary packaging developments include the new range of modular SIGTTL toploaders, now in an integrated, space saving solution, the SIGTTL-i.
The new toploaders will handle a wide range of products including biscuits, chocolate, frozen and chilled food, health and personal care items as well as other fast moving goods.
For convenient primary packaging, SIG Pack Systems will demonstrate its new horizontal flow-wrapping machine, the SIGHSF, which produces a new type of resealable packaging.
The perfect, resealable, airtight packages are ideal for foods and non-food items that need to be kept fresh after the initial opening.
For hermetic packaging applications the SIGHSF wrapper runs up to a speed of 250 packs per minute, with optional gas flashing equipment for modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) applications.
Based on its modular and flexible product platform, SIG Pack Systems is able to supply customer specific pick-and-place robotics lines using the latest SIG Delta Robots.
At the show, a line consisting of 12 robots will be demonstrated.
SIG Pack Systems offers three different pick-and-place concepts: MonoPacker for large product volumes with online production of a single product, AssortmentPacker to create assortment packs consisting of a variety of different single products, and FeedPlacer used for feeding of continuous motion chains or conveyor belt.
