Magnetic safety sensor with monitoring module
Atex approved Coded Safety Magnetic Sensor type EEx RC Si, for Gas Zones 1, 2 and Dust Zones 21,22 atmospheres
Steute offers a comprehensive range of compact position switches with a safety function for control technology (ES 95 series) and for potentially explosive atmospheres (EEx 95), certified on the basis of this Directive.
The large variety of actuating elements available guarantees flexible application of these switches.
A special model within this series is the new EEx 95 AZ.
Whereas the other EEx 95 models are equipped with actuating elements, such as rotary levers, plungers or spring rods, the EEx 95 AZ has an actuating head in which a separate actuator is inserted.
Therefore, the EEx 95 AZ is actually a safety switch with a separate actuator which can be used to monitor the position of sliding, hinged and removable safety guards.
As soon as the safety guard is closed, the actuator is inserted in the switch, thus closing the safety circuit and enabling the machine to start.
As soon as the safety guard is opened, the evaluation module or the machine control will immediately shut down the machine or the hazardous movement.
The new safety switch, which can be used in potentially explosive atmospheres caused by both gas and dust (Zones 1 or 2 and 21 or 22 respectively), completes the comprehensive Steute range of safety switches for potentially explosive atmospheres.
This range includes solenoid interlocks, position switches with a safety function, pull-wire emergency stop switches and magnetic safety sensors with Gas Ex and Dust Ex approval.
