Upgrade path offered for development tools
Sixnet encourages existing users to keep their existing Workbench keys so they may convert existing applications on their own time frame and with no risk.
"The result of combining our IPm Open DCS controller with the CyboSoft's Model-Free Adaptive control technology is an extraordinary value for our customers and partners".
CyboSoft Chairman and CEO Dr George Cheng said: "Sixnet's IPm is an impressive real-time box".
"One of our customers recently launched 29 MFA controllers in a complex control application using one IPm unit and achieved great control and economic results".
MFA is considered an industry breakthrough.
No other comparable technology possesses all the attributes of MFA.
Based on the core MFA technology, CyboSoft has developed a set of general-purpose MFA controllers, each of which solves a tough control problem.
MFA controllers do not require process models.
Once installed, no controller tuning is required.
In most cases, MFA controllers can directly replace the legacy controllers such as PIDs and achieve immediate improvements in control performance resulting in significant economic benefits.
The Sixtrak IPm product is the ultimate process controller with the power of open Linux software.
Its powerful communications and advanced programming capabilities make it the perfect solution for process control, Scada or DCS applications.
Although it is built-on the open Linux operating system, no knowledge of Linux is required in most applications.
CyboCon IPm is a network version of CyboSoft's flagship CyboCon software product and is seamlessly integrated in Sixnet's system.
By using Sixnet's I/O Toolkit software on a PC, a user can configure MFA controllers and then download the configured files to the IPm over the network.
MFA controllers running inside the IPm interact with the Sixnet hardware I/O via the IPm I/O database.
Now, to avoid manual tuning or building process models, an IPm user can simply select the appropriate MFA, replace the PID, configure and launch the controller, and reap the benefits of adaptive and robust control with no manual tuning and maintenance required.
