Ethernet switch for up to five managed ports

A Sixnet product story

Five-port Ethernet managed switch has full industrial ratings, including a wide operating temperature range, zone two hazardous locations, marine and offshore approvals.

Sixnet has introduced a five-port Ethernet managed switch, the ET-5MS, for applications that require up to five managed ports.

It has full industrial ratings, including a wide operating temperature range, zone two hazardous locations, marine and offshore approvals.

The managed switches combine real-time network management functions with open source capabilities.

They offer secure and optimised performance with RSTP (rapid spanning tree protocol) for fast redundant rings.

Even after a break in a communications pathway, messages will be delivered.

The switches can detect and report network problems before they seriously affect network operations.

Each unit also has a self-test and alarm output signal plus authentication and encryption features.

And they come with IPm Linux open-source tools.

Unlike office-grade switches that are only for use in air-conditioned offices, these Ethernet switches can survive extreme locations.

They have been used in military applications such as in LAVs, ships and aircrafts.

These switches have a 20-year support and service policy, free field-installable upgrades and over one million hours of mean time between failures.
