Industrial serial to Ethernet device servers are for connecting serial-based software applications over Ethernet to remote industrial serial devices.

Sixnet's industrial serial to Ethernet device servers (models ET-DS-1 and ET-SDS-1) are for connecting serial-based software applications over Ethernet to remote industrial serial devices.

These high performance devices are rugged units in a compact size.

They are easy to use and flexible, using the latest in advanced IP technology.

The supplied Quick Configurator is for fast setup and the Device Manager is for more advanced configurations.

Easy to use com port redirector software is also provided.

The ET-SDS-1.

includes advanced security options.

These device servers offer real-time secure performance including an auto-detecting 10/100 RJ45 Ethernet port and a universal EIA-RS232/422/485 serial port for serial data tunnelling across an IP network.

Other features include back-to-back (paired mode) operation, port buffering and IPv6 support for future compatibility.

The secure SDS model adds cyber security with authentication and encryption schemes over SSL or SSH sessions.

This product is industrial rated (UL/CSA, CE, zone two and more) including a wide operating temperature range that meets Nema TS-2.

It also offers 15kV ESD protection for continuous and reliable long-term operation.

No adapters are needed (in systems with existing 12 or 24V DC power) with the direct 9-30V DC power range.

Troubleshooting is helped by LED indicators for the network and serial interfaces.
