Slim Ethernet switches suit tight spaces

A Sixnet product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Feb 2, 2007

Sixnet's Slim Line industrial Ethernet managed switches have a compact and slim package design that makes them ideal for applications where DIN rail space is a premium.

Sixnet has released the Slim Line (SL) series of industrial Ethernet managed switches, available in five-port (SL-5MS) and eight-port (SL-8MS) models, with up to two fibre optic ports.

These switches feature a compact and slim package design that makes them ideal for applications where DIN rail space is a premium.

Though they are small, these slim line switches still feature the ultra-reliability and industrial ruggedness that Sixnet is known for.

These advanced switches support all standard IEEE 802.3 protocols and offer real-time secure performance through RSTP for fast redundancy, SNMP for network management, VLAN for network segregation, and IGMP for multicast filtering.

Secure access is ensured with HTTPS (SSL and TLS), SSH, SNMPv3 plus others.

These switches offer advanced intelligence and non-blocking wire-speed switching that allow all ports to communicate at full-duplex speed (200 megabytes per second) at the same time, eliminating collisions and ensuring no undesirable delays.

The Slim Line switches have rugged circuitry and redundant power inputs plus industrial surge and spike protection to keep the system up and running continuously.

These switches are backed by five-year support policy.

They are CUL (UL/CSA), CE, FCC, ISO9001 and RoHS/WEEE rated to assure their long-term success in harsh industrial environments.
