Sixnet's acquisition of BlueTree Wireless Data allows more customers to be reached in more places, with a stronger, wider array of products and services.

Sixnet Holdings has acquired BlueTree Wireless Data, a supplier of Machine to Machine (M2M) cellular data products.

Sixnet is a manufacturer of process automation, Ethernet connectivity and PSTN (landline) modem products used in harsh industrial, commercial and military applications.

BlueTree is a manufacturer of cellular data modems for mobile communications, business continuity and telemetry applications.

This acquisition enables the combined company to more fully leverage their respective talents in the marketplace by providing a wider array of hardware and software applications and expanded channel services, both domestically and internationally.

The synergy of Sixnet's penetration into industrial, commercial and military markets, coupled with BlueTree's specialisation in the wireless rugged modem market, insures that more customers are reached in more places, with a stronger, wider array of products and services.

Steve Schoenberg, CEO of Sixnet said "BlueTree's technology adds cellular connectivity to Sixnet's automation products".

"This same automation technology will provide added value to BlueTree customers through innovative functionality that will enhance future BlueTree products".

Michael Ramsay, President of BlueTree Wireless Data, views the acquisition as an indicator of the strengthening M2M market, stating, "This acquisition brings together two technology rich companies, with outstanding leadership and positions the combined company to capitalise on an enormous opportunity for growth through market expansion".
