Ethernet switch autodetects links

The All-Gigabit SL-8MG allows users to start with a RJ45 connection and easily upgrade to a noise- immune fibre optic link by plugging in a fibre transceiver.

Sixnet has released the All-Gigabit SL-8MG Ethernet switch, with eight ultra-fast Gigabit ports for auto-sensing 10/100/1000Mbit/s Ethernet links This switch features four flexible combination ports that each offers the convenience of both a copper RJ45 and pluggable fibre optic connector

This allows users to start with a RJ45 connection and easily upgrade to a noise-immune fibre optic link by plugging in a fibre transceiver.

Multimode, single-mode, long haul up to 80km and special application transceivers are available.

This fully managed switch supports all standard IEEE802.3 protocols and offers real-time secure performance through RSTP for fast redundancy, SNMP for network management, VLAN for network segregation and IGMP for multicast filtering.

Secure access through authentication and encryption is guaranteed with HTTPS (SSL and TLS), SSH, SNMPv3 and others.

Plus this advanced switch offers the latest in store-and-forward wire-speed nonblocking switching technology, supports 8192 MAC addresses and provides a 32Gbit/s back-plane.

This allows all ports to communicate at full-duplex speed at the same time, eliminating collisions and ensuring no undesirable delays.

The SL-8MG has rugged hardware features for ease of use and long-term operation.

Offering a three-way flexible mounting design, this switch can be mounted on DIN rail for fast installation, or it can be mounted directly to a panel in either a vertical or horizontal position for optimal vibration resistance.

The heavy-gauge all-aluminium packaging is tough, corrosion-resistant and provides excellent ESD/EMC protection.

Its rugged circuitry, redundant power inputs and industrial surge and spike filtering will keep your system up and running continuously. Request a free brochure from Sixnet ...
