Upgrade path offered for development tools

A Sixnet product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team May 29, 2008

Sixnet encourages existing users to keep their existing Workbench keys so they may convert existing applications on their own time frame and with no risk.

Sixnet has released a seamless migration path for the tens of thousands of installed ISaGRAF applications to upgrade to the newest generation of 32bit ISaGRAF applications development tools.

Fully optimised for Windows XP and beyond, these tools form the path to the emerging 64bit Vista operating systems of the future.

Existing and new users can take advantage of the latest applications development technology while maintaining their existing applications with a single easy to use tools suite.

The offering links ISAGRAF V3 and ISaGRAF V5.

Sixnet has integrated the ISaGRAF Workbench directly into the Windows-based tool kit applications development suite.

Tag definitions flow automatically from every I/O module, up into the controller and appear immediately in the Workbench with no need for import or further configuration.

Sixnet integrators have reported time savings of greater than 30%.

The ISaGRAF-RTU runtime is provided free in all IPm RTUs and process controllers.

This latest generation of runtime will run in all installed IPm RTUs and process controllers and may be installed for free under Sixnet's protected technology policy.

To ensure access to the latest technology to all developers, Sixnet will provide an ISaGRAF Open Workbench key to any existing Sixnet ISaGRAF keyholder with a 50% credit, regardless of the age of the license.

Sixnet encourages existing users to keep their existing Workbench keys so they may convert existing applications on their own time frame and with no risk.

Sixnet ISaGRAF Open supports all five IEC 61131-3 programming languages including sequential function charts, flow charts, structured text, ladder diagrams, function blocks and instruction lists.

Sixnet provides a suite of function libraries to process control and RTU applications.
