A Scorpion Vision product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jun 25, 2008

Unibrain Firewire cameras are designed to simplify real-time uncompressed colour video streaming and digital still image acquisition while maintaining high resolution.

Scorpion Vision has released a new series of Firewire industrial and machine vision cameras from Unibrain, with a housing that weighs less than 65g and measures about 30mm2.

Using a IEEE-1394a digital bus protocol and an external trigger to streamline the capture, digitisation and processing of colour video signal, these cameras are designed to simplify real-time uncompressed colour video streaming and digital still image acquisition while maintaining high resolution.

The cameras are equipped with a CS/C-Type lens mount for flexible use of industrial C-Mount or CS-mount lenses.

The firewire port comes with industrial screw lock cable support to ensure stable camera connection.

Applications include machine vision, ITS, robotic control, RFID, microscopy and inspection, medical applications, navigation and GPS mapping.
