The newest addition to Epson's family of SCARA robots is the ES/EL series, which is designed for use in dust-proof/wash down areas.

The eight models are the latest developments in a 15-year campaign by Epson to integrate the most modern and best technological developments into its robots.

As such, they come with a number of innovative features.

All eight models have a shielded manipulator and are aimed specifically at users involving dusty, wet or oily environments.

All give shielding equivalent to IP65.

Arm lengths vary from 450 to 850 mm, with a maximum payload of 5kg.

The six ES models come with a repeatability of +/-0.02 mm, while for the two EL models this is +/-0.025 mm.

In addition, the ES/EL robots all come with installed pneumatic tubes for ease of customer use.
