The enhanced Series 200 Plus intelligent optical detector from System Sensor Europe features in-head digital signal processing to give additional features and benefits
The enhanced Series 200 Plus intelligent optical detector from System Sensor Europe provides enhanced functionality at no extra cost.
Mechanically and electronically backwards compatible with the Series 200 units it replaces, the Series 200 Plus features in-head digital signal processing to give additional features and benefits, improving the unit's performance and extending the service intervals.
Drift compensation offsets the effects of the gradual build up of dust and other air-borne contaminants in the chamber over time, maintaining a constant sensitivity between service intervals.
By ensuring that the detector's performance is not degraded, the service interval can be extended without reducing the effectiveness of the coverage.
Smoothing inhibits short-lived peaks in the signal being interpreted as genuine alarms.
Consequently, the detector is more stable and the sensitivity setting can be increased to provide early warning of a genuine alarm condition without the risk of frequent nuisance alarm signals.
The new features are incremental: the Series 200 Plus detector will default back to the previous Series 200 settings if the control panel does not recognise the enhancements.
