Heather Jackson has joined leading health and safety consultancy Sypol as director of occupational health and hygiene.

Heather Jackson has joined leading health and safety consultancy Sypol as director of occupational health and hygiene.

This is a new role created to support the company's new organisation in which there are two distinct but integrated divisions: occupational health and hygiene and health and safety, led by Bill Holmes, formerly Sypol's director of UK regions.

Heather will be based at Sypol's Aylesbury headquarters and moves to the company from chemical company Lyondell where she was responsible for product stewardship and industrial hygiene.

She is the immediate past president of the International Occupational Hygiene Association (IOHA) and the honorary secretary of the British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS).

Karen Baxter, managing director of Sypol, is delighted to welcome Heather onto the team: "Heather will be a real asset to the company, bringing extensive experience to the team.

"The introduction of this new role will enable us to meet the requirements of customers as the business continues to grow successfully".

Heather relishes her new role: "Sypol has a reputation for providing sound expert advice in the industry and I look forward to helping to grow the occupational health and hygiene side of the business".
