Semiflex compensates for radial shaft misalignment via pivoting parallel movement of two pairs of coupling links.

Semiflex from Schmidt-Kupplung is a torsionally-stiff, precise shaft coupling, which is short in length to fit into small envelopes Radial shaft misalignment is compensated via pivoting parallel movement of two pairs of coupling links

This compensation is free of restoring forces.

Three series are available.

The calculation process of a coupling is simplified due to a design torque calculator which is offered on the manufacturer's website.

The Standard series is available with outer diameters ranging from 50 to 300mm in different hub versions.

For a press-fit shaft connection the design engineer can choose between clamp hubs or split-clamp hubs for an easy drop-out installation or for higher torque requirements in a locking-assembly version.

The series offers a maximum radial misalignment capacity depending on size up to 6.6mm and a nominal torque capacity ranging from 44 to 7.040nm.

To ensure a precise transmission of torque the all-metal coupling series offers a high torsional stiffness up to 2.159kNm/rad.

Typical applications are printing machines, packaging machines or machine tools.

The Compact Plus series is designed for extremely axially limited space.

It offers a reduced coupling length due to a special design of the middle disc and no reduction in performance or misalignment capacity.

For highly dynamic applications with rapid accelerations the Dynamic series offers a low moment of inertia.

The couplings are always equipped with clamp hubs to ensure a backlash-free shaft connection.

All aluminium parts are anodised and provide protection against corrosion.

The series is available with a range of outer diameters up to 74.5mm and with a maximum radial misalignment capacity of up to 1.5mm.

The lightweight series offers a torsional stiffness up to 34kNm/rad and is used in rotary indexing systems, test units and in machines for material handling.
