Compact coupling enables precision
conveying
The Semiflex Compact Plus C 230 provides a combination of high torsional stiffness, a very short design and a high radial misalignment capacity.
A fully automatic conveyor belt system consisting of transport, acceleration and deceleration belts ensures reliable transport, interim storage and distribution of packaged freight In this application a compact shaft coupling design with a high torsional stiffness was essential due to the compact dimensions in the belt conveyor drives and the precision of the whole system

Couplings cater for extreme parallel shaft offsets
The Schmidt-Kupplung is a torsionally stiff performance coupling that compensates variable parallel shaft offset without side loads in a very compact envelope.
A backlash-free shaft connection and easy installation of the coupling were additional requirements.
The coupling chosen, the Semiflex Compact Plus C 230 from Schmidt-Kupplung, provides a combination of high torsional stiffness, a very short design and a high radial misalignment capacity up to 1.6 mm to compensate for shaft displacements between the drive motor and belt rollers.
The coupling has a nominal torque capacity of 230Nm to meet the high torque values that occur at the transitions between the transport belt and the acceleration and deceleration belts.
With clamp hubs the all-metal coupling is available as a press-fit hub version and is easy to mount using radial clamping screws.
