Stratford-upon-Avon-based Tappex Thread Inserts and its sister company Pressavon have appointed Andrew Fitzpatrick as their sales and marketing manager.

Fitzpatrick will replace Peter Rush, who is retiring at the end of March.

Tim Barnsdale, managing director, said: 'With a background in mechanical engineering and more than 27 years of experience in the automotive and aerospace industries, Andrew is well qualified to lead our sales and marketing team.

'His career includes positions in new product development, regional sales and key-account management, his last role being UK/EIRE manager for Arnold Umformtechnik, which is a medium-sized fastening solutions company within the Wurth Industrial Group,' he added.

Fitzpatrick previously worked for Textron Engineering.

Barnsdale said: 'Andrew is well aware of the requirements of serving multi-industry and cultural customers, especially across Europe.'.
