Multimill handles both roughing and finishing

A TaeguTec UK product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Sep 3, 2009

Taegutec has launched the Multimill solid-carbide end mill for roughing and finishing operations, which is said to improve productivity by eliminating tool changeover times.

The Multimill is said to not only replace two end mills to reduce tool change and set-up times, but also reduce the number of tools required in the machine set up.

The four-flute high-helix solid-carbide cutter has two serrated and two continuous flutes to deliver high metal removal rates while also providing good surface finishes.

With a 45-degree corner chamfer and a TiAlN coating, the Multimill is suitable for all types of steel and stainless steels, titanium, inconel and other high-temperature alloys.

The Multimill is ideal for use in the aerospace, motorsport and mould and die industries.

The Multimill is available in 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 and 20mm diameter with a corresponding cutting length of 14, 18, 22, 26, 30, 34 and 42mm.

The end mill has high chip evacuation and metal removal rates while the flute design reduces vibration even at high loads.
