Elastomer couplings cope with sudden
loads
The major advantage of R+W elastomer couplings is that they transmit high torque with no backlash while accommodating misalignment and dampening vibration.
The major advantage of R+W elastomer couplings from Tandler Precision is that they transmit high torque with no backlash while accommodating misalignment and dampening vibration They are therefore ideal in drives that are subject to sudden loads, typically found on machine tools, printing and packaging machinery

Coupling with expanding shaft connection
Introduced with machine tool builders and gear box manufacturers in mind, the latest addition to the Tandler product range is a coupling with expanding shaft connection.
Their ability to absorb such loads also has a very positive effect on the service life of other drive elements and their press fit design makes them simple and quick to install.
Such is the demand for these products that range has been substantially extended.
Torque capacities in excess of 2000Nm are available, and several new products have been introduced.
A principal new inclusion is the Servomax range, specifically developed for servo drives.
The polyurethane insert in the new Servomax coupling is able to compensate for axial, lateral and angular misalignment as well as dampen vibration.
Inserts are available in three hardness levels which exhibit different operating characteristics and all are resistant to oil, grease, gas and many solvents.
The standard range is suitable for shaft diameters from 5 to 80mm and maximum torque of up to 2150Nm.
The safe and economical connection of shafts over distances of up to 4m is possible with the new R+W range of drive shafts with elastomer couplings.
These accommodate radial and angular misalignment and have torque ratings up to 1100Nm.
Further new additions to the elastomer range include the option to specify all models in stainless steel or high-strength aluminium with a choice of surface treatment.
The majority of models in the R+W elastomer coupling range have also been engineered to conform to the new ATEX 95/137 guideline that confirms their intrinsic safety for use in explosive atmospheres. Request a free brochure from Tandler Precision ...
