Redesigned gearboxes boast twice the torque
The new PowerMaster gearboxes are available in three sizes with maximum torques of 300, 640 and 1200Nm and in three ratios per size of 1:1, 2:1 and 3:1.
Smaller torque limiters promise longer life
The latest generation of R + W torque limiters from Tandler Precision are more compact, weigh less and deliver an even longer service life than their forerunners.
Now this proven product programme has a new option.
A dedicated design has now been introduced for applications in clean rooms in food, electronic and pharmaceutical production.
To protect the coupling from the ingress of dirt, aggressive cleaning detergents and other manufacturing fluids, the SK range can be specified completely sealed.
This option also ensures no grease can leak out of the coupling.
An O-ring is inserted in the base element of the coupling and covered by an extended actuation ring.
This simple arrangement ensures the external dimensions of the coupling remain unchanged.
The latest generation of SK couplings takes advantage of optimised disc springs and new materials that ensure better performance and less weight.
These improvements have allowed the size of the R+W coupling to be greatly reduced, as much as a third by comparison with competitive products.
The patented spring loaded ball detent design guarantees reliable and superior protection against overload even under heavy loads and ensures high repeatability of the pre-set disengagement torque.
Four designs complete this 0.1 to 2800Nm range.
The SK1 is for timing belt and chain applications, SK2 has a clamped hub for direct drives and SK3 a tapered clamp connection for direct drives.
SK5 is a press fit version.
The sealing option is available on all types.
Nitrocarburised, oxidised and nickel plating may be specified for all steel types in the range.
The complete product programme is also available in stainless steel. Request a free brochure from Tandler Precision ...
