A Tascomp product story

ADT Rail Systems, part of Siemens Transportation Systems, has placed a significant order for software licences with Tascomp, developers of Prodigy Scada software.

ADT Rail Systems was formed in 2002 to supply the UK rail industry with systems for asset performance management including condition monitoring of points, level crossings, power and event monitoring.

The company drew together several businesses with a track record of supplying hardware into the rail industry but lacked suitable software to complement its product portfolio.

It needed proven software with comprehensive facilities from a reliable developer able to provide on going support.

Tascomp met these requirements with its OEM software capability.

A customised version of Prodigy Scada software incorporating specialised facilities for rail applications was developed and re-branded as OnTrack.

OnTrack allows ADT Rail Systems to provide some unique application solutions and benefits.

The recent considerable investment in modernising the UK rail industry has seen a successful period for the company with a large number of OnTrack systems being installed.

In 2006 ADT Rail Systems became part of Siemens global network of companies and their commitment to using OnTrack continues with the latest order of software licenses.

Tascomp's OEM software service is a fast and economical way to have a ready made control and monitoring software for resale.

This is an ideal solution for businesses that need software for new product lines, want to replace out dated software or are entering new markets but do not have the time or resources to develop software from scratch.
