Bins solve the problem of storing waste in EPAs
TBA Electro Conductive Products (ECP) has introduced new wheelie bins that solve the problem of storing waste in electrostatic discharge protected areas (EPAs).
The new ECP 21140 material is a permanently static dissipative clear polyester TPU sheet with surface resistivity of 10Gohm/square making it ideal for use as a cleanroom softwall as well as flexible packaging, floor and table mats among other applications.
The new material is now available in two thicknesses of 0.4 and 1mm and in widths up to 1400mm.
ECP 21140 is humidity independent, aqueous washable and can be recycled.
Static decay (1000 to 10V) is less than 0.1s with total outgassing of 1.36ug/g and toluene outgassing of 0.086ppm.
ECP 21140 is based on an inherently dissipative polymer (IDP) alloy where a dispersed phase of static dissipative polymer is integrated within a host polymer.
The host material maintains its physical properties while the IDP provides a dissipation path through the alloy.
In this manner, permanently dissipative alloys with surface resistivities of 0.1 to 10Gohm/square are typically produced.
