Tech Ed Concepts, in cooperation with software developer Cadkey Corporation, has awarded 250 seats of Cadkey19 software valued at over USD550,000 to the Milwaukee School of Engineering

Tech Ed Concepts, a full-service 3D design and manufacturing technology provider for educators and students, in cooperation with software developer Cadkey Corporation, has awarded 250 seats of Cadkey19 software valued over one half of one million dollars ($550,000) to the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE.) Cadkey is being implemented in MSOE's engineering graphics course because hybrid modeling is the future of mechanical design; therefore, MSOE employs Cadkey as one of their state-of-the-art technologies that they see as a necessary component of their students' education and future.

Cadkey supports MSOE's mission to provide a sustained interactive educational climate for students to become well-rounded, technologically experienced graduates and highly productive professionals and leaders.

Moreover, Cadkey's commitment to provide leading educational institutions like MSOE with free software exemplifies their dedication to technological education.

Under the leadership of Professor Marvin Bollman of MSOE, undergraduate students are exposed in their engineering graphics course to the theory of graphics and an application of graphics theory using Cadkey.

Professor Bollman has been using Cadkey since its availability on a 5_-inch floppy disk (Version 1.4) and continues to teach the program because of is hybrid modeling capabilities and user-friendly interface.

"We use this program because it is user-friendly.

We are not only able to teach theory, but also apply the actual application of the graphics," he said.

"The engineering graphics course is structured to not only teach engineering graphics but to also demonstrate the best of both worlds to the student." MSOE is making a Cadkey student bundle available (includes Cadkey19 and The Cadkey19 Project Book) to students through the school bookstore at a substantial discount.

Students have the advantage to put into practice concepts learned in the classroom using commercial software at an affordable price.

MSOE is committed to strengthen its efforts to educate and train quality engineers through its undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

Ready in position, MSOE prepares its students to adapt to the latest technologies and operates to serve its students by upgrading their skills and knowledge for the challenges they will encounter in the workplace.

MSOE was at the forefront of engineering institutions to bring the power of hybrid modeling to PC's in the classroom.

Richard Amarosa, President of Tech Ed Concepts, said, "MSOE continues to see the value of hybrid modeling as compared to a single solution CAD package (i.e parametrics).".
