Norwich University engineers are using Cadkey at all levels in all disciplines including mechanical, civil and electrical engineering.
Freshman learn Cadkey during their first year at Norwich in the Fundamentals of Engineering course that involves an introduction to graphical communication skills used in engineering through the use of sketching and computer aided design and are scheduled to meet in a three-hour lab that meets once a week to engage and become familiar with the Cadkey program.
All engineers are using Cadkey specifically for its friendly interface in computer aided design, and for the application of problem solving to the curriculum.

Engineering faculty are full-time engineering professionals who are dedicated to teaching engineering applications.
Professor Paul Tartaglia of Norwich University began using Cadkey approximately 10 years ago when the early versions were released and still uses it today.
He said, "Cadkey is extremely intuitive, its commands are intuitive and just an all around easy program to use.
You can't learn to ride a bicycle by watching a video, the goal of our institution is to give the kids good solid hands on experience in education and that's what we do." Cadkey Corporation supports the Norwich School of Engineering's mission to prepare students to excel as engineers by providing a fundamental and practical engineering education.
Faculty at the university enable their students to be leaders in the nation and the world.
Cadkey Corporation will continue to support prominent institutions such as Norwich that produce graduates who are ready in action for the working world of computer aided design in the industries of design, engineering and architecture.
Richard Amarosa, President of Tech Ed Concepts, said, "It has been my pleasure to work with Professor Tartaglia and to see first hand the high interest and regard he has for his students and their future.
It appears that Cadkey has provided the experiences his students need to be successful in their classes and provide the foundation for their desired future occupations.".
