Kubotek USA has revealed plans for the "Cadkey evolution tour", a series of free half-day events to take place in cities across the country in September and October The tour is designed to introduce Cadkey customers to KeyCreator design and manufacturing software - the evolution of Cadkey - and demonstrate its ease of use

In addition, presentations during the tour will show how other engineers are already using the new product and discuss the company's vision for the future.

Delegates will be able to test drive a new version of the product, receive a free trial version of the software and share their opinions on top development priorities for the new release.

"In any business, there's no substitute for a face-to-face meeting with your best customers", said Robert Bean, Chief Operating Officer, Kubotek USA.

"While the contract renewals and commitments we've received already from our strategic customers are an important demonstration of their confidence in KeyCreator, we need to establish our commitment to Cadkey customers and communicate our team's long-term vision".

"This tour is a perfect platform for direct, in-person conversations with our most important stakeholders, our customers".

Kubotek USA has scheduled the first leg of the tour to focus on its traditional customer strongholds, including events in or near Boston, Philadelphia, Toronto, Detroit, Milwaukee and Minneapolis.

Delegates will receive a free trial-version of the software and also be registered to win an HP Pavilion notebook PC at each event.

Kubotek KeyCreator builds on the heritage of Cadkey, the first truly 3D MCAD software for the desktop.

KeyCreator combines both the latest in geometry-based design and modelling technology, and a legacy of success in helping customers in the design of tooling, complex machinery, fixtures, moulds, dies and a multitude of product development industries including automotive, aerospace, heavy equipment, sports equipment, medical device and many more.

The KeyCreator creation engineering product line includes multidimensional design and drafting, NC programming and reverse engineering capabilities.

The rapidly expanding product line features the company's unique geometry-based foundation with localised feature editing and sophisticated deformation techniques.

These capabilities are particularly useful for design teams working with advanced designs of solid models because KeyCreator blends surface, solids and wire frame modelling, allowing easy modification and editing functionality.

Tech Ed Concepts is the North American academic distributor of Cadkey and KeyCreator.
