Uprox represents a technological breakthrough in metal sensing, being the only proximity sensors of their kind that can sense all types of metal at the same sensing range.

This unique feature saves hours of downtime when changing and adjusting sensors or when the target material changes.

The new sensors are available in a wide range of sizes from 8 mm threaded barrel to 80 x 80 mm rectangular, and in a wide variety of rugged enclosures, making them ideal for demanding environments.

The stubby styles CA40 (40 x 40 mm) and CA25 (25 x 25 mm) sensors in particular are well-suited to the automotive industry, as the die-cast aluminium housing and Duroplast stone faced front cap enables them to withstand glowing sparks and even weld splatter.

Uprox sensors are also available in advanced Q-Pak housings for use in confined areas where conventional barrel or limit-switch style sensors will not fit.

Q-Pak sensors provide greater sensing ranges than conventional sensors but still fit in to packages up to 10 times narrower.

Uprox sensors have a range of innovative features.

They use patented new circuitry, have no ferrite cores, and include three coils rather than one.

This provides a 350% wider sensing range of 2 to 75 mm, immunity from strong electro-magnetic fields such as those found in resistance welding, and an exceptionally wide operating temperature range of -25§C to 85§C.

Their exceptional sensing range means these sensors can be located further away from heavy manufacturing operations which could cause damage, and this increases reliability without the need for additional protection or spring mounting.

Uprox sensors are designed to be dependable in harsh environments, and are rated up to IP 67, the highest rating for protection against water and dust, to withstand liquids and other contaminating environments.

They are fully encapsulated to withstand high levels of shock and vibration.

The introduction of this new range featuring the same switching distance for all metals, magnetic weld-field immunity, wider sensing ranges and tough stone faced protective housings means industrial users can select the right sensor for even the most demanding applications.
