In just two years Tyco Electronics has transformed the output performance from its Raychem wire and cable production facility at Swindon UK, to achieve world-class supply service levels

To meet it's aims, Tyco Electronics invested more than £10m introducing a state-of-the-art planning system along with new, highly efficient manufacturing equipment.
A comprehensive operator training programme, together with improved communication practices, have complemented this investment in systems and equipment.
As a result, the wire production facility has succeeded in reducing lead times by 30% and increasing on-time delivery levels to 95%, thereby setting new standards for service.
This exceptional on-time delivery performance and the industry's most competitive lead times apply across the board, encompassing everything from standard wire through to complex multicore cable products.
Importantly, Tyco Electronics is now able to offer customers in the European market four week lead times on many complex multicore cables.
